To find a Victorian triple serpent/snake ring, set with wonderful old mine-cut diamonds in each serpent, is quite rare. The serpent/snake was a popular theme during the Victorian period because Queen Victoria loved it’s sentiment, that of the creative life force and enduring love.

In this unusual ring, each mine-cut diamond is *approximately 0.25 cts. each, VS-SI and IJ, with a total diamond weight of *approximately 0.75 carats. Each snake merges into the shoulders and full shank. One can see where the line distinction is blurred from wear but the ring is solid and substantial and this has no effect since it is only on one side and bottom of the shank.

In 14k, it weighs 6.6 grams and is a size 7 ¾-8 ¼. The 6.6mm width of the shank accounts for the size spread. The distance from diamond to diamond is *approximately 17.5mm.

*approximation is due to the fact that the stones are mounted and exact measurements and weights cannot be determined.
