Beautifully translucent green chrysoprase is carved into sugarloaf and rectangular links and mounted in 14k yellow gold to create this chic chain necklace from the late Art Deco period, circa 1930s. Each sugarloaf chrysoprase is bezel set and mounted in an oval of gold that cleverly mirrors the interior oval shape of the rectangular chrysoprase links on either side of it. The necklace measures approx. 22" long by a hair under 3/8" wide and 3/8" deep. Weight is 42 grams and the clasp is marked 14k. In very good vintage condition, this necklace has obviously been treasured and well cared for during its lifetime. The presence of this piece is sophisticated and it is strong enough to be worn alone. That said, this necklace would also make an exceptional addition to any neck stack and would pair perfectly with both vintage and modern pieces.
