The unique design of this antique 14k gold Victorian bangle bracelet showcases a sparkling raised shamrock and crescent in diamonds and rubies. The front portion of the bracelet is textured, providing contrast to the shiny leaf and vine that runs across the front. The back portion of the bracelet is polished gold.
The interior diameters of the bracelet measure 2 5/16" by 2 1/16" with an internal circumference of approx. 6.9". Unlike so many bracelets from the Victorian period, this one is larger than average and more likely to accommodate a modern day wrist. Weight is 16.1 grams of 14k gold (assayed.) The front of the bracelet at the crescent measures 15/16" wide and at the narrowest in the back it measures 1/4" wide. The clasp is in good working order and closes with a firm click. There is a safety chain to provide additional security when worn. In very good antique condition, this bracelet has an antique patina that we love and, therefore, have not polished.
The diamonds are old mine cuts and single cuts with a total weight of approx.* 0.85cttw with SI1-I1 clarity and GHI color. The approx.* 0.25cttw in natural rubies are predominantly red in color with medium / dark tone and strong saturation.
This ultra feminine antique bracelet with a rare and beautiful design is a highly desirable jewel from the Victorian period.
*approximation is due to the face that the stones are mounted and exact weights and measurements cannot be determined.
