Featuring a pretty European-cut diamond in the center, the multi-colored green enamel is highlighted by mine-cut diamond edges. Closest to the center, a darker green enamel is topped by a lighter green which, in turn, is topped by the darker color. This color scheme gives the petals dimension and a visual texture and along with the matte finish of the enamel, it adds to the imagined feel of a real clover.
In the center, an *approximately 0.50 carat European-cut diamond, VS-SI/IJ, is very clean and bright, set in 6 prongs. Each petal holds 5 mine-cut diamonds in a gold cap with 5 more mine-cut diamonds set in the stem which curls up to one of the bottom petals.
On the back, one can see that it is fitted with a bail which folds down when worn as a pin. Also, a curved piece is available to hold either a small lady’s pocket watch or locket or some other personal treasure. Measuring across, it is 1 inch; top to bottom measures approx. ¾.”
On the clasp, it is marked “14k” and the Krementz mark. Flowers of all kinds were favored subject matter during the Art Nouveau period and Krementz was renowned for their excellent enamel work.
