Be-jeweled with three faceted citrines and set with beautiful jasper, agate and banded agate, all stones native to Scotland, this impressive dirk comes it it’s original box from R. Stewart, jeweler “To The Queen”, “Glascow.” The native materials used to accent Scottish jewelry were referred to as “pebbles,” and sometimes the jewelry itself was referred to as “pebble jewelry.”
Measuring just under 3 ½” in length and just under ½” at the widest point, this is an impressive, functional adornment for the kilt, a beautifully crafted pin and piece of jewelry made all the more special by the fact that it is still in it’s original box. The box measures approximately 4 5/16” in length x 1 1/16” wide x ¾” deep. A beautiful, rich burgundy color is found in the box interior; gold printing and insignia on the top and a fitted velvet bottom. Textured black leather is the outer material for the case.
