Renowned Newark jewelers, Wordley, Allsopp & Bliss created this idyllic antique Edwardian 14k gold floral locket. Encircling the edges of the locket is a linear, geometric design and at each quarter mark there is a flower presented in a bouquet of leaves. The center flower has four petals, each petal drawing the eye outward to a flower on the edge. The reverse is blank and awaits personalization and the interior has two frames to hold photos firmly in place.
The locket measures a hair over 1” in diameter (26.29mm) and 1 5/16” from the top of the attached O ring to the bottom of the locket. Total weight is 8 grams and there is a beautiful bloomed finish and antique patina to the gold. In very good antique condition, there is a faint scuff mark on the reverse left hand side. The locket opens and closes securely and the hinge is in good working order. On the interior edge is the WAB mark for Wordley, Allsopp & Bliss, along with a 14k mark.
A very special piece, this unusual antique Edwardian locket is the perfect treasure for housing your most precious photos or mementos.
