Retro style? Art Deco style? What a spicy combination of two period styles in this white onyx, diamond and 18k rose gold ring. Presenting a combined feeling of bold, open and airy, the open center is interesting as it reveals the skin of the finger on which it is worn.
The softness of the corners and the depth of the white onyx lend a nice dimension to the ring. Cleverly imagined, it is a point of interest where the white slips beneath the diamond and gold wrap which rises from the shoulder.
Set with 42 full cut diamonds on one side, this textured strap contrasts nicely with the polished one. The detail of the intermittent split shank goes all the way around the ring and when one turns the ring over, one is treated to a lovely open frame with pear shape and round cut outs, revealing the white of the stone. This open design feature is consistent with the open space in the top center of the ring. The ring is stamped "BA," likely the initials of the designer but, unfortunately, there is no way to confirm this.
In 18k gold, the total diamond weight is *approximately 0.21 carats. The ring weighs 9.7g and is currently a size 7.
