We see a very tiny 1840s watercolor painting of an English mansion house with sweeping driveway to the front. This dinky house portrait is upon oval perforated card, mounted on yellow card under a metal oval mount, all set behind old glass within in an equally gorgeous of the period burr walnut frame. The frame has THE most gorgeous patina and mellow honeyed coloring. Wouldn't it be interesting to find the actual house?

PAYMENT
We reserve the right to decline/ refuse any customer or Paypal payment as we do not ship to all countries.
Payment is to be received within 48 hours of placing an order please. If payment has not been received within this timescale the purchase will be cancelled and the item returned to our inventory. Any non paying customer will be blocked from our shop for any future purchase.
We only accept Paypal payments from verified Paypal account holders with a confirmed shipping address. Please note you do not need a paypal account or need to create a paypal account to buy from us. Paypal will simply process your payment from your debit card, credit card or if you have one your paypal account. We do not accept payments via eCheques/ electronic cheques.
LAYAWAY TERMS
Our generous, interest free layaway is offered as a goodwill gesture to enable everyone to be able to experience the benefit of owning beautiful antiques. We do not accept more than 3 layaway sales per customer. Our maximum lay away period is 6 months for any item over $250 including an immediate non refundable 10% deposit to secure your item, if the item is less than $250 our maximum layaway period is 3 months. PLEASE note layaway IS NOT offered on Sale items.
Customers are invoiced directly via Paypal at the end of each calendar month without fail. As our generous layaway is offered as a goodwill gesture, politeness is appreciated and as such, we kindly expect friendly communications and prompt payment. It is the responsibility of the layaway customer to ensure prompt payment within 7 days of the receipt of our Paypal invoice. Failure to do so will result in immediate cancellation of the layaway and regrettably being blocked from shopping with us again. If the sale is cancelled due to lateness of payment or non receipt of payment, your initial deposit is non returnable. As shipping is included in each sale, and as shipping rates do increase during the duration of a layaway, we reserve the right to cancel the layaway, returning all monies received IF the shipping rate has increased significantly.
International SHIPPING
We DO NOT COVER any import duties, fees/charges or taxes. If applicable, buyers are fully responsible for these charges. Please make sure that you are aware of these before purchasing from outside of your own country. All deliveries will need a signature.
RETURNS
If an item is returned because of a buyer 'change of heart/doesn't like the item', the buyer pays all return shipping cost. If the item was shipped via expedited courier, the buyer will also pay the original outward bound shipping cost. This will be deducted from the refund. Buyers are responsible for return UK import duties/ VAT charges with the exception of if we have made a mistake in the item's description. Any such import charge will be deducted from the item refund.

Information I Collect
To fulfil your order, you must provide me with certain information (which you authorized Ruby Lane to provide to me), such as your name, email address, postal address, payment information, and the details of the product that you’re ordering. You may also choose to provide me with additional personal information, if you contact me directly.
Additional Information I Collect
Items purchased that require courier shipment – As part of the online courier booking process we are required to provide the courier with the customer's telephone number, email address and full shipping address including any business details such as a company name. If this information is not received during the order process via Ruby Lane, we will need to contact the customer via email or via Ruby Lane message to ask for the additional information.
Layaway items – Due to the extended nature of layaways, sometimes entered into over 6 months ago or more , we may contact the customer before shipment via Ruby Lane message or email to confirm their contact/shipping details. This is to ensure that the item is not sent to an outdated incorrect shipping address and to ensure the item is sent to the most convenient address for the customer e.g. an item sent to the customer’s listed office address rather than their home address. For courier shipments, this is also to ensure that the courier has the customer's up to date contact details.
Why I Need Your Information and How I Use It
I rely on a number of legal bases to collect, use, and share your information, including:
• as needed to provide my services, such as when I use your information to fulfil your order, to settle disputes, or to provide customer support;

Please note - we are a registered UK business. Our shipping cost also includes handling (new eco friendly packing materials, new recycled card double wall box, acid free tissue, bubble wrap and bio-degradable starch packing chips, staff time to carefully pack your treasure and vehicular delivery to the post office). Combined shipping is generally not available as each item is individual in size and weight, often needing to ship by itself in a box. Please enquire prior to purchasing two items or more. We will look into it for you but may not be able to accommodate combine postage costs. In certain circumstances, for example events beyond our control such as a World Pandemic, natural disasters or severe delivery delays we may choose not to use Royal Mail. In such an event, if an alternative Express Courier delivery service is used, buyer's are responsible for any import/customs duties. Please note that we only ship to the verified Paypal address, therefore please make sure that you have updated your Ruby Lane address page to correspond with your Paypal details. We prefer not to send to THIRD PARTY SHIPPERS or SHIPPING BROKERS, MAILBOX SERVICES/MAIL HOLDING or FORWARDING COMPANIES. We also do not ship to countries or locations where we have previously experienced an unreliable/problematic postal delivery service. Courier delivered items- will always ship via an international express courier service such as DHL. who do not deliver to PO Box addresses. This is usually a quicker service pending customs clearance. Occasionally there can be delays (especially during a World pandemic) and your estimated delivery time could be affected, we cannot be held responsible for delays out of our control. Courier delivery drivers WILL ALWAYS require a signature upon delivery, this is the SECURE service that WE pay for with NO exceptions. If these arrangements are interfered with by you 'the receiver', then ourselves and the courier company are absolved of any responsibility and you 'the receiver' are then wholly liable for any loss/non-receipt. If you are not home to receive and sign for the parcel the courier will leave a card and you can arrange a re-delivery on a day that you are home or alternatively you can collect it yourself from the courier depot. IF THIS SECURE, SIGNATURE ONLY delivery service is not agreeable to you then we respectfully request that you do not purchase from us. Although the shipping cost is included in our price, we do not pay any import custom duties/local taxes/fees/VAT. Import charges, if applicable (US clients see below) are normally collected on behalf of government customs agencies by the delivering Courier (shipping) company or when you pick the item up - do not mistake them for additional shipping charges. Please make sure that you are aware of your own countries importation policy before purchase. For USA clients, under the Low Value Shipment Regulatory Modernization Act of 2015, the maximum value of articles that may be imported duty-free by one person on one day is $800, with the exception of 'antiques over 100 years old' (HS Tariff heading 9706) which are classed by the US Customs and Borders agency as duty free. However you may be liable for your local taxes. (Current March 2020) USA customers PLEASE NOTE we usually ship via Royal Mail/USPS trackable with signature service. If you are not at home to receive your parcel and you do not arrange the timely collection/re-delivery, and the parcel is later returned to us in the UK, YOU the buyer will be invoiced by Trinity Antiques upon the parcel's return for the COMPLETE shipping charge for the outward shipping to you, and the return shipping back to the UK plus any other extra return charges added by the courier company for return UK importation entry. UK DELIVERY Usually items that are under 2 kg in weight will post via Royal Mail First Class Signed For Service or if time sensitive, Royal Mail Next Day Delivery using their Monday to Friday guaranteed before 1 pm delivery service . Usually larger items over 2 kg will be delivered by express courier with a signature required upon delivery. If you are unsure of any of our shipping terms please ask prior to purchase. RETURNS Items are to be returned within 2 weeks, using a fully insured and trackable service. All parcel custom paperwork is to be completed correctly with the correct Antique Over 100 Yrs Old title, 97060000 HS Tariff number and also the item identified as a RETURNED GOODS. Buyers ARE responsible for the return UK import duties/ VAT charges that Trinity Antiques will incur with the exception of if we have made a mistake in the item's description.
