This is an oh so pretty little example of early English lusterware! This miniature pink lustre toy size cup and saucer was made in England circa 1820. The cup and saucer features a pink lustre rim with hand painted red roses and green leaf decoration. It is remarkable that it has survived all these years, as so many little hands would have played with it.
This is the perfect item for anyone who loves early 19th century folk art ceramics, in particular lusterware. A great addition to your country house look.
Measuring: Width including handle 3 inch (7.5 cm) by height 1 1/2 inch (3.5 cm). Saucer diameter 4 1/8 inch (10.5 cm).
Condition: Small chip to cup rim, two hairlines to cup, small manufacturing fault to interior of cup and a couple of fleabites to foot rim. Two surface grazes to saucer rim, natural crazing to glaze. All commensurate with age, and mentioned for accuracy.
