We are excited to be able to retail this stunning portrait of a dear little pug! The portrait was painted in England in the year 1897. The painting depicts a cute little pug; the artist was clearly very talented. The painting is dated ‘Feb 1897’ and features the artist’s SB monogram bottom left.
The painting is housed behind its original delicious bubbled glass in its original gilt wood frame. The painting is also complete with its original backing paper which has never been opened!

Condition: Good with some age toning. There is a central area of darkening to the paper, seen horizontally across the pugs nose, commensurate with its vast age and not so apparent in real life. A couple of composition stud mouldings missing from top right corner of the frame. Please study our images.
