This stunning nursery ware plate was produced in England, circa 1830. This wonderful plate features a transfer printed design depicting a little girl stood holding hands with her older sister in a rural setting, their beloved pet dog is standing beside them. What a charming little scene. The scene is titled ‘My Sister’ and as the names suggests, would make an absolutely ideal gift for a sister. We also love the hand coloured floral border, just look at the tones of orange, green and yellow. Stunning!

Please see our collection of scarce nursery ware plates listed separately in our store, each from a single owner English country estate sale, fresh to the market in 60 years..

Reference: For a similar example please see plate 85 in ‘Gifts for Good Children’ by Noel Riley.

Measuring: Diameter 7.25 inch (18 cm).

Condition: Perfectly stable old cross hairline to back and small old chip to foot rim. Poor printing on the word SISTER, part of the early manufacturing charm.
