This is a truly stunning piece of early English nursery ware. This fine transferware plate was produced in England during the 1830s. This deep plate features a transfer printed design depicting a rural cottage in the woods. The whole scene has then been hand coloured in the most delightful tones. We also love the raised, hand colored floral border. This is perfect for anyone who loves early ceramics or anyone who has a passion for early nursery ware to adorn their country cottage interior.

Please see our collection of scarce nursery ware plates listed separately in our store, each from a single owner English country estate sale, fresh to the market in 60 years.

Reference: Plate 486 in ‘Gifts for Good Children’ by Noel Riley.

Measuring: Diameter 7.25 inch (19 cm).
