We are excited to offer this highly decorative nursery ware plate, but also very sad to part with it!! The colours are so vibrant even after all these years. The lovely little creamware plate was produced in England during the 19th century, circa 1830. The plate features a hand coloured transfer printed design depicting a nativity scene. The verse surrounding the scene reads ‘Where is he that is born King of the Jews for we have seen his star in the east.’ – Mathew 2.2.

The plate also features the most wonderful hand coloured raised floral border, it is one of the nicest we have seen! The back of the plate features a hand painted ‘B’ mark. This is a wonderful plate that is perfect for anyone who is a person of faith or anyone who has a passion for early nursery ware.
