This charming hand colored engraving was produced in England during the early 19th century, circa 1830. The portrait of the boy is titled ‘Giles’ and was published by Orlando Hodgson of 10 Cloth Fair, London.
The engraving depicts a farmer's boy resting against a gate post; in one hand he is holding his hat. We love his linen smock and his very fancy blue and white striped stockings.
The engraving is housed behind wonderful old bubbled glass in its original frame. This is such a lovely print, the perfect item for anyone who loves all things Georgian!
