This is one of our most favourite recent acquisitions because of the patina and subject. If like us you adore genuine 19th century folk art in all of its naivety, this is the portrait for you.

This stunning small American school naïve watercolor painting on paper depicts a male sitter in profile, half length view. The painting features some wonderful details, we particularly like the way the artist has depicted the blue hatching to the sitter’s coat. The painting is housed behind old glass in its original frame, the frame is absolutely fantastic with a fantastic mellow coloring.

Measuring: Frame width 7.5 inch (19 cm) by height 8 7/8 inch (22.5 cm). Aperture width 3.75 inch (9.5 cm) by height 4.75 inch (12.5 cm).

Condition: Showing signs of age with some toning and light staining to paper with a couple of very old tears, clearly shown in our images. Light surface wear to frame commensurate with age.

Shipping: FREE Express Courier Shipping to mainland USA and UK only. Buyer's are responsible for any import fees if applicable.
