A delectable little miniature portrait for your collection. This charming watercolor portrait miniature of a girl was painted in England during the 19th century, circa 1835. The painting features a little girl captured in profile view. She is seen wearing a wonderful blue and white striped dress. The watercolor is on paper and is housed behind its original old flat glass in its original birds eye maple frame. This is a delightful little painting that will display excellently; we absolutely love the frame which really compliments that painting. There is a very old indecipherable ink inscription to the back for the frame. The painting was purchased as one of a pair, each sold separately.
Measuring: Frame width 5.5 inch (14 cm) by height 6.5 inch (16.5 cm). Aperture width 3 inch (7.5 cm) by height 4 inch (10 cm).
Condition: Very small old 1/8 bump to top edge of frame, minor graze to bottom of gilt slip.
