A scrumptious little pair of 210 year old miniature porcelain vases from a top English porcelain maker of the 1810 period. They are made of pure white porcelain with hand painted exotic birds. Teeny little treasures for your Lilliputian collection that have been cherished and remained together for TWO centuries.

This stunning pair of miniature porcelain vases were produced in England circa 1810. These Regency era vases were manufactured by Chamberlain Worcester and are produced in their ‘regent china’ body. This special type of porcelain body was first used by them for an important commissioned service by The Prince of Wales. These matching vases are of miniature proportions, they are the smallest spill vases that we have seen. Spill vases were made to store spent spills (long slender match like sticks for lighting candles). Of course, they now make super vases for tiny sprays of seasonal flowers or stand alone pieces.

Robert Chamberlain (c.1736–98) worked as head porcelain decorator for Worcester porcelain during the early Dr Wall period. In 1783 he decided to leave and set up his own porcelain business also in Worcester, England. The Chamberlain factory quickly established an enviable reputation for the production of finely painted porcelain

The vases each feature hand painted exotic birds resting upon a branch. The vases are so decorative and are of such a high quality. To the base of each vase we find the hand painted manufactures mark. This delightful little pair will display excellently in any setting.
We have a particular passion for Georgian and Regency era miniature porcelain, please stay a while and browse our other examples.
