A gorgeous example of a very small drawstring purse to add to any discerning early 19th century purse collection or fashion museum's holdings. Please see its larger partner, sold separately but from the same previous owner.
This fine circa 1810 to 1820 example is offered in very good condition complete with its original drawstring and base tassel. Unlined and knitted from VERY fine gauge silk with teeny glass beads incorporated in the knitting technique. The coloring is very subtle, earthy tones of blue, green ochre and russet.

Size: 5.5" (13 cm) tall, incl tassel and when suspended 7.5" high (19 cm) by 3.25" (8.5 cm) wide.
