This decorative little hand colored print was produced in England during the 19th century, circa 1830. Such prints were often called nursery prints as they often were hung in the child's bedroom. The engraving was produced by the printer A. Park at 47, Leonard Street, Finsbury, London. Archibald and Arthur Park were brothers trading at the same address.
The print is titled ‘The Farmer’s Wife’ and features said wife feeding the chickens in the garden of the farm cottage. The print is housed being old glass in its original ebonised frame. The print would have originally been produced as one of a pair. We do have a complete pair of the same scene by A. Park listed separately in our store.
This is a charming engraving that will display excellently in any setting.
