This rare, early pottery child’s/doll size nursery ware plate was produced in England during the 19th century, circa 1810. Due its small proportions, the plate would have been made for a child’s toy tea or dinner service. The plate features some wonderful hand painted moulded detailing including the central scene which depicts a yellow flower with floral motifs to the border. We also like the embossed border that surrounds runs around the inside and outer rim. The high gloss pearlware glaze is so appealing.
This is a rare and decorative little plate, plates such as this display excellently next to any 18th or early 19th century pottery and porcelain.
Measuring: Diameter 3.5 inch (9 cm).
Condition: A small chip to rim, with three minor grazes to outside border.
