This absolutely stunning watercolor was produced in England during the early 19th century, circa 1815. This Regency era portrait depicts an elegant aristocratic English lady sat amongst a classical setting; she is wearing a beautiful white muslin dress with a blue silk sash waist and draped rich red cashmere shawl. We love the attention to detail in the painting, just look at her blonde hair in the fashionable neo-classical style with chignon and curls framing the face. Just look at that necklace made from luxurious natural pearls; the artist was clearly a talented and confident painter. The painting is on card or paper and is housed behind old glass in its period correct wood frame with a gilt slip.
This really is a fine English country house artwork from Regency England that will display excellently in any setting.
