This wonderful small blue and white porcelain saucer plate was made by Worcester porcelain factory in England during the 18th century, circa 1770 (fully marked to the base with Worcester blue crescent). This is an early piece made during their first period of porcelain production. The pattern is known as the ‘Birds in branches’ and as the names suggest, depicts three of our feathered friends birds resting in a tree. It is hard to believe that this item is almost 250 years old. This small plate was made during the time of the American Revolution, the Boston Massacre and of course the Boston Tea Party. It is remarkable that it has survived, obviously cherished by each and every owner since 1770. This is the perfect antique for anyone who loves all things 18th century, or has a passion for quality English antiques.

As any interior designer will confirm, a display of several 18th century blue and white small plates really does look stunning on a wall. A timeless classic!!

Measuring: Diameter 5 inch (13 cm).
