This quality little porcelain jug was produced in Swansea, Wales during the early 19th century, circa 1820. The stunning jug features the most decorative hand painted details. The scene on one side depicts a vibrant floral spray; the reverse of the jug features a hand painted exotic bird. The handle is also particularly decorative being produced in the rococo style. It would appear that this ornate handle was used by Swansea on a number of fine pieces.

Swansea porcelain is rare, and highly respected among collectors. This a unique opportunity to own such a decorative piece of Georgian era porcelain. A special little jug for a special doll perhaps!

Measuring: Height 2.5 inch (6.5 cm). Width 2 1/8 inch (5.5 cm).

Condition: Restoration to front interior and exterior section of jug below lip. Small perfectly stable drying crack bellow top of handle. Some minor flakage to the floral decoration, minor roughness to the gilding on the decorative C scroll area of the handle.
