This rare, quality spill vase is absolutely stunning in its teeny proportions. Produced in England during the early 19th century, circa 1820, this fine piece features the most decorative hand painted floral spray of English rose and auricular flowers. This small delightful treasure was produced by the top quality porcelain factory of Chamberlain Worcester. Each flower painstakingly painted by hand in vibrant pinks, greens, purples and reds. What makes this example particularly unusual and desirable is the olive green ground so rarely found on porcelain - obviously a bespoke commission. The floral scene, olive green ground and quality manufacture means that this piece displays excellently.
This is a fine piece of Georgian era porcelain; it is perfect for a collector or for a special doll!
Measuring: Diameter 2.25 inch (6 cm) by height 2 5/8 inch (6.5 cm).
Condition: Good - free from cracks, hairlines or restoration. Minor wear to gilded flared top lip and stepped base. A couple of tiny pinhead areas of missing paint to the rare green ground.
