A showstopper of a vase for your English country house floral display.

This TOP quality porcelain vase was produced by Spode during the 19th century, circa 1823. This fine English porcelain vase features embossed hand painted floral sprays with gilt flowers upon a rich dark blue ground. The base of the piece features the iron red mark reading ‘Spode 3420’. This is one of the more uncommon patterns and was reserved for decorative items rather than tableware. We particularly like the gilded rims, the gilding is absolutely excellent. This vase's design was WAY ahead of its time, one would not think that it is just under 200 years old. Josiah Spode was a revolutionary in the porcelain world, very often his designs were ahead of their time.

This vase is delicious with its timeless design. Please enjoy our images taken in natural English daylight where we have seasonal blooms in the vase. Additional items in the images are retailed individually in store.

Measuring: Height 6.25 inch (16 cm), Diameter 4.5 inch (11.5 cm)

Condition: Excellent with just minor wear to top edge gilding and two small factory firing faults to interior (common in the kiln at this period of porcelain production).
