We are delighted to offer this super little original 1825 watercolor in a similar period frame. This floral arrangement of wild dog roses and bell flowers was painted by the artist ER in 1825. There was much debris under the glass when we acquired this painting. We therefore opened the painting and cleaned the glass, allowing us to see the artists monogram verso with the words 'don by hand' in ink, and also the watermarked J Whatman paper for the year 1825.

Housed behind its old bubbled glass and gilt slip, in an original period veneered Georgian frame. The frame has its top hanger and superb jointed corners.

Size: Frame 9 5/8 inch by 8 inch. Visible painting sight 6 inch 4 1/4 inch. Images taken in natural English daylight.

Condition: Very slight age toning to the J Whatman paper. The inner gilt slip is not a tight fit at the corners, but perfectly stable and non moving. A vertical sliver of gilding missing to the slip on the right edge.

A superb original combination for your period interior.
