This rare and decorative miniature toy, now dolls size tea cup and saucer was produced by the Derby porcelain factory in England during the early 19th century, circa 1820. This circa 1820 cup and saucer is of teeny miniature proportions; imagine the skill required to manufacture on such a tiny scale! We love the intricate hand painted detaining to the interior of the cup, it screams quality.

Producing miniature toy wares was much more difficult than producing full size pieces. Due to their small size they were also a greater challenger for the painters.

This finely modelled, matching cup and saucer will display excellently. The perfect accessory for a larger doll or for anyone who collects rare and early English porcelain. Please see our collection of miniature pieces listed separately in our store.

Measuring: Cup width including handle 1 5/8 inch (4.3 cm) by height 0.75 inch (2 cm). Saucer diameter 2 3/8 inch (6 cm).

Condition: Handle has been professionally replaced, light surface wear to gilded designs.
