This fine porcelain tea cup was made by Spode in England and dates to the early 19th century, circa 1815. The ‘London’ shape cup, patter 2638 features a hand painted oriental pattern in the Imari palette. We particularly like the inner blue transferware floral border. The cup is marked to the base with the ‘Spode’ mark. The cup has excellent translucently (see image taken from inside the cup). It is a fantastic addition to your porcelain collection.
