This elegant vitrine was produced in France and dates to the Napoleon III period, circa 1870. The rectangular case opens via a hinged lid and is complete with its four original feet. All five thick glass panels are heavily beveled adding to the sheer opulence of this piece. Open the door to reveal the padded silk buttoned base. This is a grand French decorative antique that looks amazing displayed on its own or with other French vitrines. This is the perfect piece for displaying your portrait miniatures or a fine piece of jewelry.
Measuring: Width 3 1/8 inch (7.5 cm) by height 2.75 inch (7 cm). Depth 2.25 inch (6 cm).
Condition: Good faded grandeur condition with a few teeny, absolute pinhead size nibbles to the glass (not obvious but mentioned for accuracy). Please note that the deeply padded and buttoned silk is heavily perished exposing its under wadding.
