This ornate Napoleon III mirrored pocket watch holder was produced in France during the 19th century, circa 1860 -1870 era. The watch holder is modelled as a standing bamboo mirror or a fire screen and is complete with its original bevelled glass mirror. During the 19th century bamboo furniture was very popular; its major revival came during the Aesthetic movement. This is a decorative Victorian piece; we have not found another like it.
