If like us you adore period homes and especially period dramas - then you are in for a treat with this all original Georgian portrait. One can easily imagine her walking in the grounds of a fine British pile on a fine summers day with a swooning handsome beau hot on her heels. She looks like a heroine taken straight from the pages of a Jane Austen novel!! If you have an affinity for the layered look of cottage core or grandmillenial then she is the perfect addition to your home.

This delightful portrait of a beautiful young lady was produced in England during the late 18th century, circa 1775 to 1800. The painting depicts a lady wearing traditional 18th century English dress; we love her large shepherdess hat with large tie ribbon and her cascading curly brown hair. The artist was clearly very talented and this is demonstrated by the attention to detail. The painting is very much in the style of portraits by George Romney in particular portraits of Lord Nelson's mistress the famous Emma Hamilton nee Lyon. This original watercolor painting is on paper or card and is housed behind old bubbled glass in its original Georgian pressed brass frame. This is an original painting by a talented artist, it is not a reproduction - it will display excellently. Please see our collection of 18th and 19th century art and antiques listed separately in our store.
