This large and wonderful quality snuff box was produced in Scotland during the early 19th century, circa 1810. This handsome box is of reeded cylindrical shape. The box has an integral wood hid, usually associated with Scotland, curved to fit the pocket. The color of the wood is so rich and has the most wonderful natural patina to the underside. The interior is lined with stained horn. We love the original horn stringing and central diamond shaped cartouche to the lid. This is a high quality piece from the Regency era, the perfect item for anyone who collects rare snuff boxes or has a passion for early 19th century English antiques.

Measuring: Width 6.25 inch (16 cm) by height 1 1/8 inch (3 cm). Depth 3 inch (7.5 cm).

Condition: The lid is dry where it has been displayed in sunlight or near a fire. There is surface wear, old drying cracks to the snuff box and general wear due to regular usage.
