This charming all original little Staffordshire pottery dog was produced in England during the 19th century, circa 1840. The figure is modelled as a Spaniel dog. This adorable figure has been produced to a good quality with crisp modelling and good painted features.

These small early Staffordshire dogs look wonderful nestled among your folk art antiques. These little dogs also make THE most perfect companion for your special antique doll or a splendid gift for a dog lover.

Measuring: Height 4.25 inch (10.5 cm) by width 3 inch (7.5 cm). Depth 2 inch (5.3 cm).

Condition: Natural crazing throughout, two small chips to base, loose piece of debris inside the figure which rattles slightly when overturned.

A sweet, characterful example of a genuine Staffordshire dog.
