This wonderful, quality porcelain basket was produced in England during the early 19th century, circa 1830. The basket features the most decorative hand painted porcelain encrusted flowers with extensive gilt decoration to the exterior. The cover is perforated to allowing for stems to be displayed while having access to the water below. This is a high quality item that has been richly decorated, we love the intertwined handle and the three dimensional roses that adorns the cover.
Measuring: Diameter 5 1/8 inch (13 cm) by height 4 inch (10 cm).
Condition: Very small 1/8 inch chip to base
This is a beautiful piece of early English porcelain that will display excellently. It could also be used for holding aromatic pot pourri to scent your room.
