This is a wonderful Regency era Chamberlain Worcester coffee cup that was produced in England circa 1815. This unusual shape of coffee cup is known as the ‘Bucket Shape’, the cup features slightly concave sides with extensive gilded decoration upon rich orange ground. See page 102 of Berthoud's ‘A Complete Compendium Of British Cups’ for similar examples. The base of the cup is features the painters pattern mark ‘328’.

Measuring: Width 3.75 inch (9.5 cm) by height 2.5 inch (6.5 cm).
Condition: 1 inch hairline to rim, two minor firing faults to the interior. Minor wear to gilded rim.
