A delicious grouping for your spring/summer folk interior. Here we have a french beadwork basket with loose red velvet fabric to the base. This yummy basket is then chock full of little strawberry emeries (full of fine sand to sharpen your needles and pins). Three of the strawberries are late 19th century being crochet wool and beadwork pip varieties, one is a stockinette version with wired stem and embroidered pips, one is a felt and velvet variety again with wire stem, the final one is a large maroon silk crochet variety with amber glass beadwork pips. All genuine versions not reproductions, and all are in good sound condition free from leaks. A very sweet collection of antique berries to bring a smile. We see them tempting you from afar displayed upon a blue painted shelf...perfect!!
The basket is 5.25 inch tall by 3" wide.
Condition: A very good and sound berry emery group. The French circa 1880 basket has turquoise beaded loss and wire breakage to one of the wire arched feet- see image.
