A darling all original example from the 19th century. This tiny golden green velvet emery was made in the form of an apple from four segments of velvet. Each segment neatly stitched to form the fruit, complete with weighty sand filling and looped silk ribbon top leaves.
ORIGINAL examples such as this are becoming scarce.....
Size: 1" tall by 1" diameter
Condition: This all original example is 150 plus years old and has some signs of age and wear. There are a couple of tiny bare areas to the velvet pile and a couple of historic darker patches to two segments. There is a breakage to one of the very narrow green silk ribbon leaves.
