This dinky little gilded crown comes direct from a French 19th century collection of small crowns that are each retailed separately. This TEENY bejeweled treasure dates from the late 19th century circa 1890 to 1900 period. This VERY small crown would have originally adorned a sacred statue within a French church. It now makes a wonderful crown for a very special antique doll or statue. Photographed on the head of our 17" wax doll model for scale.
This little crown is very sturdily made from gilded brass, a sign of its authenticity (it is not a flimsy reproduction). We see a clear paste bottom border with alternating pink and green paste fleur de lys finials. The center bar remaining which helped balance it on the original statue's head..
Size: 0.75" tall by 1.5" diameter
Condition: Excellent with all of its original stones
A magnificent example in teeny proportions, just dazzling!!!
