This wonderful little tent stitch woolwork picture of a dog was produced in England. The needlework is typically early Victorian and depicts a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel dog which circa 1870 was salvaged and remounted on to a light colored woven cotton backing. The piece is housed behind glass in a decorative wood frame with a gilt slip. The perfect item for anyone who loves dogs.
Measuring: Frame width 10.25 inch (26 cm) by height 7.75 inch (20 cm). Aperture width 8.75 inch (22 cm) by height 6.25 inch (16 cm).
Condition: Some minor wear to the frame.
