We are totally charmed by this delightful miniature needlework upon paper from the Regency era. This circa 1820 to 1830 period needlework of a single rose stem was worked in silk floss thread upon a paper ground. With ancient French hand inked script reading "Récompense donnée à Mlle D??St Pacifique' or 'award given to Miss D???, Saint Pacific'
Housed within a period veneered frame under old bubbled glass and original gilt slip complete with original top hanger.
Size Frame: 7.25" by 6".
Condition: Some age related surface ware to the antique frame. Some minor creasing to the paper. Some age related foxing to the paper ground.
