This wonderful diary was produced in England during the 19th century, in the year 1884. The diary and original slip case features rich red leather gilt tooled covers. The diary and engagement book were published by De La Rue & Co in London. The first few pages containing a variety of information including university terms, eclipses, inland postal rates and stamp duties. It is fascinating to see the daily activities of someone in 1884. This is a decorative, quality little item. The perfect piece for anyone who has a passion for small items of ephemera or Victorian treasures.

Measuring: Case width 1 inch (2.5 cm) by height 3.25 inch (8 cm). Diary width 7/8 inch (2.5 cm) by height 3 inch (7.7 cm).

Condition: The book is complete, some of the pages have the original owners pencil inscriptions, please expect the odd turned page corner. Some evidence of rubbing to the spine and top left corner of the rear cover, please take care when sliding the diary back into the case.
