This wonderful cut paper silhouette of a man was produced in England and dates to the 1810 to 1820 period. The silhouette is of a high quality, we especially like the most decorative bronzed highlights of his high frock coat's collar and notch/ button holes to his lapel. The silhouette is housed in its original reeded stained wood frame complete with its old wavy glass. Please see our other silhouettes listed separately in our store as together they make a delightful grouping on your wall.
Measuring: Frame 3 7/8 inch (9.5 cm) by height 5 inch (12.5 cm). Aperture width 2 5/8 inch (6.5 cm) by height 3.75 inch (9.5 cm).
Condition: Good with only light surface wear to the frame which of course is commensurate with its vast 200 year age.
