This delightfully tiny masur birch snuff box dates to the early 19th century, circa 1820. This Lilliputian snuff box features an internal hinged lid and is modeled as a bound book. The skill that was needed to create a hand carved wooden box of this tiny scale is to be marveled at. The warm coloring and wonderful patina is fantastic. This is one of the smallest examples we have seen, perfect for anyone who collects miniatures or is looking for the perfect accessory for a doll. This is one of a pair each sold separately.

Condition: Very Good with the normal age wear that one would expect to the very edges and just below the middle hinge .
