This charming, original pastel portrait of a cat is by the British artist Shelagh Popham (b 1952). Shelagh studied art, design and printmaking at St Martin's School of Art, London and The Royal West of England Academy. Shelagh has exhibited in many groups and exhibitions in England and Wales including the Royal Academy.
The pastel drawing is titled ‘White Cat And Feverfew and is dated 1988. The painting is housed under glass and is complete with the artists label and the gallery label. The painting is monogrammed and dated by the artist to the bottom right corner.
