Henry Frederick Lucas Lucas was a renowned equestrian artist who worked in oils, he also painted hunting dogs. This unusual and very decorative oil portrait is on canvas and features a traditional English pointer dog. This art nouveau painting is housed in the most decorative bespoke Art Nouveau frame with hand carved wooden fretwork mount. The painting is signed verso by the artist reading Mr Coopers hound “Beaumont” H. F. Lucas – Lucas 1912”.
