This ornate bronze dore vanity mirror was produced in France during the mid 19th century, circa 1860. This ALL original Napoleon III era mirror has a fine original patina and some wonderful rococo inspired details; we particularly like the partitions over the circular plate mirror and the ribbon bow with hanging rose garlands. Just study those sweet putti/ cherubs and swag detailing. This fine mirror is even complete with is original rear suspension loop and wood backing board. This is a wonderfully decorative item found in this rare sought after shape; it will display excellently.
Measuring: Length 13.75 inch (35 cm) by width 6.25 inch (16 cm). Depth 0.5 inch (1.5 cm).
Condition: One of the left side vertical ribbon struts has a slight kink. Some minor oxidization to the old glass commensurate with age, a small surface scratch to the mirror at 11 o'clock.
