This quality early 19th century porcelain tea cup was produced by Spode, during the Regency era circa 1820. The shape is known as ‘New Dresden’ and features detailed hand painted floral sprays with embossed flowers and foliage. To the base of the cup we find the pattern number ‘2527’ hand painted in iron red script. This is one of our favorite patterns produced by Spode; it will display excellently alongside any collection of 19th century English porcelain. It also makes a unique gift when filled with luxury candies, chocolates or a quality scented candle!!
