This delightful, little toy plate was produced in Staffordshire, England during the early 19th century, circa 1830. The black transfer printed design features a charming Springer Spaniel resting under a shady tree, we particularly like the embossed hand painted foliage border. This is a rare item, in an uncommon pattern, it is the perfect addition to your collector of early English pottery and porcelain and will work superbly well with a primitive folk art look.
