We are thoroughly charmed by this rare and decorative miniature tea bowl/ handleless cup and we guarantee that you will be too. A must have item of children's tableware that you will want to handle time and time again. This attractive little example was produced in England during the early 19th century, circa 1820. This tea bowl would have been produced for a child as part of a tea set (oh we wish we had the little tea pot). This Lilliputian example features hand painted blue and white flowers under the high gloss pearlware glaze. The body is superbly light in weight, as light as a feather, the indication of good early English pearlware. This miniature example is similar in style to pieces produced at this time by the Leeds Pottery, England. This is an ideal item for anyone who collects early 19th century English pottery and porcelain or has a passion for items with that gorgeous, niave folk art look.
