A small and attractive purple leather bound scrap album that belonged to Phyllis Hawkins containing gorgeous red outer margined, watermarked paper. In the back of the album the original bookseller's label for Henry Alden 35 Corn Market, Oxford. Henry Alden was a printer, bookseller, stationer and music seller at 35 Cornmarket from 1867-1928

Phyllis only part completed her album using several topographical albumen? prints, some loose, some fixed to the paper. We are not ephemera or photographic experts but will describe the majority of the contents to the best of our knowledge. The album contents include

There is a loose photographic image 499 (unsure of location), 'frith series' image 1450 Glaisdale, three other loose photographic images with no identifying numbers or script to their reverse. Five photographic images that are attached to the paper pages, none have identifying numbers or titles, possibly Gordale Scar, Yorkshire with Victorian gents in Stove Pipe hats!!
